Clinical Supervision

Feeling stuck with where to go next with client sessions? Have questions or concerns about crisis intervention, treatment modalities, countertransference and community resources? Supervision plays a critical role in ensuring quality service delivery and clinical support for mental health providers.

Supervision can be provided to those in the process of obtaining LCSW/LICSW and will count toward licensure requirements. Supervision can also be provided for Private Practice therapists who are looking for client support and peer connection.

What to expect in supervision

We believe in meeting others where they are at, whether you are on day 1 as a social worker, or have decades under your belt-we don’t ever want to assume what your experience and needs are. We will work together to assess your clinical experience, professional experience and room for growth early on in our supervision. Don’t feel like you are learning about it in grad school- that’s where we come in to teach you how to apply your knowledge and skills in the real life setting of clinical work.

Supervision will be conducted with Lyndsey Gear LICSW, virtually, via Google Meet. Supervision is scheduled weekly to meet the LCSW/LICSW supervision hour requirements. For every 35 hours worked, 1 hour of supervision is required. We will keep a running record of our sessions so that when it comes time to submit your applications, you won’t have to go digging in schedules or emails to figure out hours and dates that we met.

Supervision is about YOU as the therapist and the needs of YOUR clients, not ours. We want to support you in your growth as a therapist/social worker, help you achieve your long term career goals and be a lifeline when you have no idea where to go next…because believe us- it will happen! We want to make sure our supervision meetings are meeting your learning style, learning goals and are giving you a balance of praise, constructive feedback and freedom to learn.
