Hi, I’m Josephine!

I am passionate about accompanying people through the many dimensions of change and personal growth.

My name is Josephine Galyon LCSW, M.Div. I’m a social worker committed to helping individuals during times of transition. Change can be difficult, disorienting, destabilizing and overwhelming, yet change and transition may also present an inspiring, dynamic pathway to greater self-awareness.

My professional background in the hospice setting guides people and their families through end-of-life, however, providing bereavement support to those who have lost an important person has become my primary focus. I also enjoy providing therapy for people encountering non-death losses and significant life transitions such as a new diagnosis, divorce/relationship changes, becoming a parent, and assisting those in recovery from addiction.

My approach

While my therapeutic style is eclectic, my approach is always trauma-informed and relies primarily on Family Systems, Attachment Theory and Motivational Interviewing. I am intuitive, curious, compassionate and collaborative, believing that at the heart of therapy is human connection. Our work together will allow you to explore your experience in safety, in order to deepen your self-trust and acquire tools to help you stay in alignment with your most authentic self.
